With the flood season approaching, the Three Gorges Project is currently undertaking a draw-down of water level to ensure the safety of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. As of May 24, the water level has dropped below 155 meters.
The reservoir's maximum storage level of The Three Gorges project, the backbone of the flood control system of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, is 175 meters, and its flood control capacity is 22.15 billion cubic meters. During this period, CTG will actively conduct ecological dispatching experiments to create better conditions for fish reproduction.
